About The Artist  

 

Lebanese-American graphic and product designer Ghada Maged is the creative force behind Medad , a brand that reimagines and elevates her father’s iconic calligraphy. 

By fusing Arabic calligraphy with contemporary design, she creates meaningful pieces that honor cultural heritage while resonating with today’s aesthetic sensibilities.  

 

Medad  carries three layers of meaning: “me and my dad,” the ink of the calligrapher, and  امتداد —the continuation of creativity from father to daughter. It symbolizes their shared artistic journey, bridging tradition and modernity, and reviving calligraphic art with love, legacy, and a fresh contemporary vision.
